So I went ahead and named the fingering weight yarn. Li’l Squish. The worsted will probably be Squishy. Big Squish, Bitty Squish, and so on. Because I am that much of a yarn nerd.
Anyway, I finally have pictures of the long awaited Blue Nebula. Well, long awaited for me. It took four days to get this color to come out the way I wanted. But it’s done now, and I know how to get it just right. So next time, it should go a lot faster. Only two or three days, like most of the other batches. (I give the yarn a full day to dry, because I hate wet yarn.) So without further ado, here are the pictures of the New Blue Nebula:

It’s a big, fat hank of yarn. Mmmmmm.

You can’t really see the very subtle color variations in these pictures. There are streaks of yarn where the blue has just a tint of purple in it, or is just a half-shade lighter. I’m very pleased with it. The owner of the local shop I’m selling my yarn in had decided that of all the yarns I’ve brought in, this is her very favorite. I can’t blame her - it’s one of mine too.
(Blue Nebula was one of the very first yarns I dyed, and the first yarn I sold, to a wonderful friend I met through a diary site. It was a silk yarn then, and though this one is a merino/bamboo/nylon blend, this Blue Nebula is still true to the original. And now a Signature Oriri Color.)
