Not So Swift
I am so tired, but staying awake courtesy of Weezer. You wouldn’t think running errands would make you yawning-at-6pm-tired, but today’s did! The good news is that one of those errands began the acquisition of swift bits - thanks in part to an old Lowe’s gift card! I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed that Lowe’s did not have a 1×1 poplar (or any wood) board. So I’m improvising, and using a 1×2 poplar board. It was working wonderfully, boards cut and chiseled with my 3 dollar hand saw and a spiffy new chisel/rasp combo… until it came time to drill holes. Turns out we don’t have a 1/2 inch drill bit - just a quarter inch. Guess I’m going back tomorrow for THAT one. I should check to make sure our drill can use a 1/2 inch first though. It would suck to get the half inch just to find that the drill’s bit hole is too small. *Cue me glaring at the drill, muttering words that my children should not hear.* Ah, the fun of doing things the hard way … I mean, doing them yourself!

LYS Experience
I finally got up the nerve to stop by the LYS today. With all three kids in tow. The shop was a bit smaller than I had expected, but oh, the yarn! So much yarn! I’ve got grand plans to go back there and acquire a few sets of Addi’s and some lace-weight yarn - without the kids. It’s not that my kiddos are horrible little rug-rat-ankle-biters, mind you. Really, they behaved marvelously and didn’t touch a thing - but it’s a bit hard to really enjoy the LYS experience when you have three ‘baby ducks’ following you around. And they really don’t like yarn all that much anyway. The ball winder is another story.

Blog Challenge: ID10T Errata
It’s Monday, so we’ve got another blog challenge! A wonderful knitty friend, aya, suggested the worst crafting mishap we’ve ever had for this week’s challenge, but I’d like to take that one step farther. Are you ready? Here it is: ID10T Errata!
Errata: a list of errors and their corrections inserted, usually on a separate page or slip of paper, in a book or other publication; corrigenda. From Dictionary.com.
Describe to me the worst, most horrible, funniest, mind-bogglingly shocking pattern screw up you’ve ever made. Not a pattern mistake - but YOU misinterpreting the pattern; or just ‘modifying’ the pattern, and ending up with… well… a total Knitting disaster. And if you can remember all the changes, I’d like to see your full ID10T Errata. What did you do to end up with something almost not worth frogging time? Why did you do it? Learn something? Or are you still doing it?
And for those of you not geek inclined… ID10T explanation. /grin

Edit: Totally forgot! I listed the second, and last, hank of this batch of Prosperity over in The Shop today.
