Picante Limón Goldfish Bullets… Wha?

Picante Limón Goldfish Bullets… I am so brain fried! It’s been a heck of a busy ‘weekend’ - so let’s go with a bulleted list tonight in lieu of a ‘real’ post. You can forgive me for this slacking, yes? ;)

- Limón, the new very pretty, yellow yarn has been dyed, dried and skeined and is currently soaking in a Eucalyptus Essential Oil bath. Limón was dyed last night and is nearly complete today, much to my surprise. Hoooray for speedy dyeing!

- Goldfish has been renamed Picante; it was a bit too red to stay Goldfish. I’ll be revisiting the oranges in the future to get the Goldfish color I am after. Picante has been dried and reskeined… and is currently next in line for the Eucalyptus Baths.

- I haven’t decided if I will tackle sock yarn or the last worsted/bulky color yet. I’m very low on citric acid, and won’t have more in until late this week, possibly early next week.

- I need to relist the remaining dyed sock yarns that I have, and pick up the display and other sock yarns from the local shop before they remodel this week.

- Website redesign is coming along, though slowly. Layout Round #6 is ready for slicing and coding. Why six? Beacuse I finally bit the bullet and committed to switching from WordPress to a full CMS instead of just adding ZenCart to this WordPress install. Which means it’s going to take a fair amount of time to get acquainted with this new CMS, and figure out the templating system. But not nearly as long as it would take me to decipher and understand ZenCart’s documentation and systems. Teehee.

- The Fireworks Socks haven’t been touched in nearing two days, having taken a back seat to dyeing, coding and the wrapping of the Yarn Babies’ presents. I’m really hoping to get some knitting done on the poor socks before the New Year, as I’ll be out of citric acid shortly and not really able to dye a whole heck of a lot without it!

- Mom is doing well last I heard. Busy with her physical therapy, and being visited regularly by friends and family. It’s a bummer for her to be in a hospital bed on Christmas instead of opening presents from underneath the hugenourmous tree she decorates branch by branch each year - but this year, the best Christmas present for us all is that she is alive and recovering!

Such has been life here! I hope you all are enjoying your holidays and your time with loved ones and friends this December. Give them all a hug and let them know what they mean to you; I know it’s cliché, but you never know when they could be gone… all it takes is one little mistake driving home.

Peace and prosperity to you all!
