Yarn P0rn & WIP Sock Picture - Picante, Limón & Fireworks!

P0rn with a zero because I recently had visitors looking for belly dancer porn, and um… that’s a search term I’m not trying to come up for! ;)

Belated Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope it was everything you had hoped for - complete with lots of YARN! (The Husband got me a video game that I’ve been lusting after. It eats up hours of my free time without my noticing. Doh! Must-do-work!)

Guess WHAT! I (finally) have PICTURES of yarn (and yarn related items)! First on the list: the slowly coming along Fireworks Socks!

That is the first and lonely-only sock. My only excuse is that I have really big feet - US Women’s 11 - so it takes a bit of time to knit socks for myself!

Next up - Picante! Just took this photo, not 15 minutes ago, in the bathroom. Two pounds of yarn takes a while to dry. And yes, this is a bright yarn. But I like it all the same!

And finally, Limón! It’s… um… yellow!

Picante and Limón are both still chilling out in the bathroom, dripping contentedly. It’s taking some time for these two to dry, but I’m not in much of a hurry - with two pounds of superwash merino/bamboo sock yarn soaking in a pre-dye bath, I’ve got plenty to keep me busy!

Oooo, ooooo - just in case anyone was curious what some of ‘my’ sock yarn looks like knit up - Jennifer from LilacKnits just finished her Earl Grey socks (a Yarn Harlot pattern) in Cabernet! It’s the first time I’ve actually seen one of my yarns knit up by someone other than myself! Hoooraaaay!! (They turned out beautifully, if you ask me - but I just might be a teeny bit biased. Heehee.)
