I love the new WordPress. Well, it’s not really new, but it’s new enough to me. It’s so… spiffy.
I also love my first pair of Fetchings. I’ve finished knitting them, and am waiting for them to dry after giving them a good rinse. (Mostly because I unknowingly sat on one for quite a while while knitting the second and it never quite bounced back on it’s own. It’s doing just fine now, just took getting wet.) They look great, keep my hands just warm enough but not sweaty. And it’s bamboo. Just can’t go wrong with that.
On the bamboo note… I’m aching to order more of that yarn. It was sheer heaven knitting with it, but I can’t justify snatching other colorways from the shop when I don’t have the blanks to dye more, no matter how much I love working with it. And I can’t quite swing the minimum order right now for more of the bamboo blanks. /cry Slowly but surely working back up to it after a very slow close to 2008, much in thanks to a few wonderful people who seemed to appear like guardian angels. You know who you are, and thank you so very much.
However. Having finished the Fetchings, I now have to return to finisihing WIPs. Like the Yarn Husband’s Combat Boot Socks. Oh, cruel fate! Well, if they are uneven because I ran out of yarn, then one cuff is longer than the other. He’s the one who said originally they had to come to near to his knees and now doesn’t really care. Hehehe. (You don’t care, dear? Sure about that? Ok, anklet it is! Kidding… mostly. /grin)
Belated Happy New Year, by the way! I’m a week or so late here, but better late than never, right? Maybe?
