On my birthday (and ODD’s 2 year anniversary), I was FINALLY allowed to open the rather large, and weighty, box that had been sitting untouched by my front door for the better part of a WEEK.
I didn’t even read the address label. It was supposed to be a surprise, and so I was good. I didn’t peek at ALL. (One just does not do that when a surprise has been 4 months in the working. It didn’t quite kill me, but it was a challenge.)
So on February 22, when it was officially my birthday, I was informed by the best friend I could open the box. And so I did. With all three Yarn Babies running around spazzing, as is usual anytime a package is opened in their presence.
This is what was inside the box:

“Some Assembly Required”
One Lowe’s trip later to find a large flat washer thingy that was missing, and I had this sitting beautifully in my living room:

Yes. It’s the 2 yard electric. Triple skein. With Counter. From Crazy Monkey Creations. See that little red dot? That’s the counter reset button.

The counter is silent. It’s automatic. It’s amazing. ALL of the winder is amazing. I can’t even begin to describe what it has done for my productivity. I wound near 10lbs of sock yarn in an afternoon. Normally that would have taken me a week.
I lurve it hard core. So much that I’m re-reskeining yarn just for a reason to use it.
Cookie, you ROCK. Thank you. <3

So worth the wait huh? Haha And that totally sounds like something I would do… completely redo stuff just to use a new toy.

What a fabulous piece of machinery! I think the only way it could look more beautiful would be if it were loaded with some of your gorgeous yarn colors!
